what is the point of having a digital radio if you cant listen to public safety on it? like u can with normal radios? i mean the motorolas

There are a number of digital systems that are montorable.
Some variations, however, are not-Provoice, encrypted, Open Sky, etc. What specific system are you refering to?

It's incredibly easy, the basics can be set up in minutes with a computer. A little longer without, but still painless if you read the manual first.

You can listen to public safety on a Motorola.

Some people will tell you you can't, and with a trunking system, you "Shouldnt", but you can just fine and it works hella better than a chinsey scanner.

Just don't be stupid, that's all I'll say on this.

You forgot to mention the part about the felony charges you'll pickup too from hacking into the trunked system :roll:
