Direct Access -- Ottawa

Listening to some frequencies licensed to Direct Access in Ottawa (downtown) I've found a few mildly interesting things.

TAFL Search Results

451.975, 461.0625 and 463.7375 are still LTR. 451.975 seems most active, may still have some rental use for small events.

454.0625 and 460.3625 are DMR, not associated, appear to be conventional, not Cap+ or Con+.

461.0625 despite having LTR blips, also had a bit of DMR simplex use.

462.0875 had Hytera XTP on it until recently, gone now.

Other frequencies, not checked so far.

Attended Ottawa Jazz Festival recently. Security had HT's labelled Direct Access, could have been LTR or DMR. Also, staff had Yaesu-Vertex (or Vertex Standard, part of Moto now) HT's which could be DMR (only Tier 2 though). Never did find the operating frequency(ies).

I believe that 454.0625 is Health and Welfare Canada security, Tunneys Pasture.

Another one is Carleton U., 452.7125, Cap+, have not been able to find the second frequency.

Interesting on the first one...I thought 413.7375 had been used for that at one time, now there is some DMR and NXDN on that frequency, some ENC, have not sorted it out.

Carleton U. had a repeater output on 464.3000, not there now.

Checking on Health and Welfare this morning.

Do not hear any activity...so perhaps they have moved again.
They used to be on the old 462-f trunking system years ago.
They are fairly busy and did radio checks at 9am.
Not really interesting listening.
