What cable (and where did you get it) has anyone used for a direct power plug for the rh96? I don't want to cut the cig lighter plug off, but would like to 'hardwire' my remote. Any suggestions?

Thanks

It is a typical coaxial power cord, the same used for Uniden scanners and many other radios. You can get power cords at any hamfest, Radio Shack or ham radio shop, you may even have a few in your junque boxes.

If you go to Radio Shack bring the RH-96 with you, they have a set of sample power cords that you can fit to see what the plug type is.

Thanks Rich. Now I gotta dig out my junk boxes and start diggin. The local 'cellphone' shack (they don't have any radios!!) ain't no help here! They don't have a 'charging plug' that size.

What ever happened to the real RadioShacks' ?!?!?!?!
