I've not posted in this forum. So, here goes. I recently watched a video of someone who made a Directional beam antenna with paper clips and PVC. This was for a scanner application. No, I did not pay attention to the frequencies this was designed for, but I would love to see the plans. I would appreciate any freedback. By the way, I am rather solder-challenged.

Divide the total length of the driven element in feet into 468 and you'll come up with what band that directional antenna was made for. Or, multiply 468 by 12 and then divide it by the length in inches. Guess it depends on how long a paperclip is...

The diameter of the paperclips and/or the number of elements would affect the frequency range of the antenna, too.
