I'm updating my radio system,
Does anyone in the Wasatch front copy any traffic on the 150.995Mhz freq,
It was at one time labled the Disaster Freq.

I am in a state with one of the largest P25 statewide systems. We still have our VHF Emergency Management frequency. It is used for warning siren tone outs and other various events.

So, help me out if ya will.

In plain simple words,

UCA holds several active licenses for that freq. Did you have it tagged to a particular agency? Most VHF stuff here is no longer used but occasionally gets patched to the UCA/UCAN system.

I agree, it has a few licensee,
And I have not copied any traffic from from my resident.
But just like many other VHF-Hi licensee there are for the most part dead in the water.
But every once in a while ya do here some good commo.

I have not heard any comms on 150.9950. My dusty list shows no hits. It also shows it as being part of the Utah State Repeater System (SRS).

I have not copied any traffic in a very long time on this freq listed as a Disaster relief freq.
Maybe it has also been abanded for the 800MHz system.
If so does anyone know the new lable and TG.

I'm Just trying to be (A Boy Scout) Bee prepared.
The fun thing of being a Amateur Radio Operator,
is that it gives us the knowledge of the radio spectrum
just a bit more than the thers out there.
And being prepared to assist the community is my goal, when possible.

Is looks like a lot.
But, I bet ya there is more that is not published or found out yet,
That's why I like to keep at least one of my radios
in the Open mode at all times, And keeping my ears to the grind stone.
Now, Keep in mind I usually only copy the traffic of daily activity 3 to 5 hours a day,
So, I miss a lot of the fun stuff.
That's where everyone else comes in to play.
What a great hobby for a retired dude, Ya Know.
