I have a new discone antenna and trying to find a good place to mount. I have an old dish network mount I could use connected to coax cables RG6 in my house. I don't have a coax hookup near my scanner but I do have an Ethernet hookup close. World it be possible to connect the coax to Ethernet via a MOCA converter? Would the MOCA adapter pass scanner frequencies?

No, that's not going to work.

Two options:
CAT 5 is about 100Ω impedance for each twisted pair. You could use a balun to run your signal over that.

Better option is to just run RG-6 where you need it. less hassle. Less booger'd together crap to frustrate you.

Doing it right the first time really is the way to go.
