Discone's on EBay question.

I see there are quite a few discone's on EBay and at what seem to be at reasonable prices considering the price of the RS discone. Any one tried any them? Thanks in advance!

If I might say, I looked at ebay before buying my new one this last month, and I noticed that a couple of people were mis-advertising. I sent them messages but they never responded to me. One guy was selling a regular Discone but advertised it has a ICOM AH-7000!!!

Bottom line? Go to the top of the page here and click on scanner master and order their discone for 89.00......after tax it is 99.00 and I was quite suprised when I got mine. Everything is SOLID stainless steel!! But if you order from there you will have to convert your connectors to N type connectors. I have been extremly happy with this antenna thus far and I was real sceptical about ordering from Scanner Master, but now I would do it again.

Whatever you do dont by the 70.00 dollar Radio Shack Discone. It is made of very very flemsy aluminum and although it will make it through just about any storm, after time the elements will bend and twist etc.....Your better off buying the one that scanner master has!
