Disconnecting swagged antenna mast pipe

I could have sworn I read a post somewhere, maybe last winter while researching antenna mounting, regarding a method trying to disconnect swagged mast pipe.

Am I crazy or is there a way to avoid permanent "mating" of swagged antenna mast pipe?

penetrating oil might work or try cutting several slits in the outer pipe with a dremel tool or several hefty pipe wrenches with long handels to twist for leverage.

Actually, the correct spelling is swedged. But searching using that word did not produce the post you were looking for.

If you don't care about the finish, heat can be your friend. I have used mapp gas as well as oxy acetylene.
