"Discontinued" AntennaCraft ST-2 Scantenna

Has anyone heard why this model is no longer available?

AntennaCraft (the company who makes the ST) was owned/run by Radio Shack, and apparently they were required to shut down that division in the bankruptcy settlement.

Hopefully someone will acquire the patents and resume production.

Side note Radio Shack is starting to relist items that had been out of stock as now in stock for order. We can only hope that this will be one of those parts also.

I was aware of TANDY Corp. in Texas being the SHACK'S corporate wing, but was not aware of the ANTENNACRAFT affiliation. Thanks again.

FWIW. I have three phone numbers for Antennacraft, and none are in service anymore.
