Discussion Re Database Victorian Regions

For some time, some regions in the radio reference Database for Victoria has been incorrect.

May I suggest changing regions to the following.




Melbourne & Regional Victoria - Live in Victoria




Region Major towns and local government areas


Metropolitan Melbourne

Banyule | Bayside | Boroondara | Brimbank | Cardinia | Casey | Darebin | Frankston | Glen Eira | Greater Dandenong | Hobsons Bay | Hume | Kingston | Knox | Manningham | Maribyrnong | Maroondah | Melbourne | Melton | Monash | Moonee Valley | Moreland | Mornington Peninsula | Nillumbik | Port Phillip | Stonnington | Whitehorse | Whittlesea | Wyndham | Yarra | Yarra Ranges |


North East Victoria

You would find that the regions are known by many names amongst many State Government agencies.

For example, because one is called Gippsland as opposed to South East doesn't necessarily make it incorrect. If you said "South East" to one person they may better know the area as "Gippsland", it's really just a matter of opinion.

Those boundaries do mirror.

On the ground The Loddon Malley Regions could defiantly shrink.
The Radio traffic received in Central Victoria doesn't come from the Mallee,More so the Hume Region.

With the states largest communications user the CFA going digital by 2012 those boundary's would in my opinion be more state orientated.

Thanks for the Correct Database RadioReference is behind scanning in Australia.
(we defiantly Have lost Uniden with prospect of no digital presence on the market in Australia.)
