Dismantling a commercial collinear antenna?

I have a Telewave ANT500F6 that was struck by lightning and taken out of service due to reception issues. The outer shell and connector is perfectly fine, it's just the wiring on the inside that is damaged. I was hoping to see if I could dismantle it and re-wire it as either an ADS-B antenna or a UHF R2 receive only antenna. Has anyone ever done this and/or have any tips?

I should have been more specific. Is there an easy way to dismantle the antenna without destroying it?
