Slight variation on the question above — does anyone know how the fireworks show audio is transmitted outside the park to the water vessels, specifically at Magic Kingdom? The ferry and small craft offer “fireworks cruises” which play audio from the show…

This question has been raised before. Not sure the answer. But can't be via part 90 without a waiver as it is a broadcast, technically.

I’ve done the private cruises at MK before. Last year when I did it I asked the cast member about it. I don’t remember exactly what she said but she mentioned how something plugged into the music/AM radio of the boat and connects to a signal. I’m doing one in a couple days so I will ask again!!!!

Disney is reported to be using the FireOne TimeMachine for remote fireworks audio. This is a fancy MP3 player that can be synchronized via a data radio from the show firing control computer. All audio is stored on the device, only timing cues are transmitted by RF.
