I programmed all the 900 frequencies from the database but all was quiet in the park. Noticed nextel Push to Talk phones on the staff, anyone know?

No, it's all Nextel. The freqs you speak of are inputs to the 900 system. They are on the Motorola-Nextel iDEN trunked digital system. Anyone know, are they using their dozen or so 899mhz freqs for this?
There are three talkgroups still in active use.
592 Jungle Cruise
1424 Some kind of backstage custodial (very infrequent)
432 Monorail/Railroad (used only as a backup when Nextels are down)
Everything else - Nextel.

Possibly migrate to PTT over CDMA?I wonder how that will affect things at the resort.
What about the ability to completely control your network? I'd say that outweighs cheap subscriber radios. The Nextel i355 seems to be the model used throughout the parks. Under 50 bucks a unit vs how much per 900mhz trunked HT?
Or change the 900 system over to Mototrbo ?
Although I can't see Spring wanting to give up the per-subscriber monthly fee and
airtime usage fees.

Hopefully not....
