• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I work for an entertainment company that has in-house security and medical. About 10 years ago they upgraded their old Command Plus consoles with software called TrboVui Dispatch. Upon research the company rebranded the software to RadioPro Dispatch.
I am wondering if anyone knows how I can configure an alert tone to transmit so units are aware of a high priority call being dispatched. Our old consoles had a dedicated button. This software does not have that option, or at least I can’t figure it out. The documentation on the software is not very specific on anything either.
Our dealer said that the new version “RadioPro Dispatch” appears to have the ability to do this, but upgrading the software means also upgrading the equipment, which we do not have the budget for.
The software works off of being connected to these gateways that are then connected to mobile radios.
I experimented with QCII, but it’s not easy to get to in the menu and I’m afraid It would take the dispatcher more time to go through the menus to send that out, then click the back button multiple times.

does anyone have any ideas?

Not surprised that an upgrade requires some effort -- The TrboVui is long pass end of life and support and you could have all sorts of security exposures here as well as in the radio system itself if you are not maintaining these systems with regular PM and updates, the same as you are (hopefully) updating your IT infrasture systems and software. Otherwise, you are headed down the road to major disaster at some point.

You might look at some other similar products in the market like Telex CSoft and Omnitronics to name two to get an idea on the reasonableness of your quote for upgrading the current solution .

RadioPro™ Dispatch has had support for tone alerts since version 7. This version was available in May of 2014.

As of August 2022, CTI Products, Inc. supports versions 8 and 9 of RadioPro™ IP Gateway, Dispatch, Solo, and their Talk mobile app.

This document describes how to add single or dual-tones before a voice call in RadioPro Dispatch version 9:
RadioPro Dispatch Installation and Configuration Guide

(Setting up audio tones in RadioPro Dispatch has not changed since version 7)

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately our version is 5.1.7., so it’s not looking good.
