BCD396XT/BCD996XT: Display Question

I just got my 996XT and have a question on the display. Is there a way to not have the system name flash on the top line? I only want the group name to be displayed on the top line, not switch back and forth. I have tried cycling through the three display modes but they don't seem to do anything.

Unfortunately no, there is no way. You can get around this however by creating a separate system for each of the groups and changing their system names. Not exactly the most efficient way to program a scanner, but the only way to accomplish what you want.
