I am using an Asus laptop with the latest Windows 10 updates. The version of Java that I am running is 1.8.0-321-b07. Although I am able to adjust the colors of each of the display lines, attempting the change the font size has no effect. Of course, I hit the "Config" button and even rebooted everything, but I still have the very large display letters which run off the screen to the left.

Could this be a JAVA issue? Perhaps a video driver issue? Suggestions from all appreciated. Thank you.

Does changing the "Display Width Relative To Window" value to something like 0.3 have any improvement?

Yes, in fact, I noticed that setting and went to .25 and that made an improvement. That seems to work, but attempting to customize the font size of each line does not, while the color option does work. More experimentation required. Thanks.

I have noticed some font types play better than others depending on which Windows version or Java on a couple of my PCs. Ymmv.

Once I scaled down to .25, it seems that the font sizes are now "cooperating" along with the colors. Thanks again.

Further Update:

After scaling down to .25 and then hitting the Restore Default button, the unit reinstated the 1.00 display option to proper proportions this time on my screen, and strangely, the first three "Clear On No Voice" boxes suddenly became checked. I also noticed that when I got the unit, it defaulted to a system in the state of Washington--- perhaps these were created during testing and somehow the unit was not cleared completely before shipping out to me.

I believe those display tab and db search location values/defaults are in the btconfig software- Not saved in the hardware.

P25RX - I have a related question about the "search db" tab. This is where the primary and all the roaming control channels are entered. Whenever I enter anything into a control channel line like license, grantee, city, state they get cleared out after a BTconfig restart. I do hit the "write config to P25RX " on the first page before exit. Am I missing a step????

@btt mentioned in another thread that the FCC search database info inside btconfig can not be user edited. I could be wrong, but only a few of the fields seen on the db tab are actually written to the p25rx hardware when config info is saved to the rig.

That is correct. Only the CC frequency field is written to flash memory except in the very latest version for the P25RX-II. In that version, there is also a P25 modulation field. In future releases, there will be more fields to support scanning / multiple modes.

The current plan is to add a field for the "system name" (will be stored in flash). This will be associated with the $SYS_NAME$ keyword and will be definable per frequency.
edit: I am working on code related to this now.
Would it also be possible to add a site name field to each frequency? I guess I could put that in the system name field.

The system I am currently using the P25RX-II to monitor has 21 sites in my region, 5 that I can receive consistently from my home so having the ability to see the name of what site the traffic is on would be a huge help. Thank you!
