Is there anyplace in the Des Moines area that would carry the Bearcat BCD 996T? My mom is thinking about buying one (I'd be doing the programming) but she wants to see one up close before she drops that kind of coin. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Thanks for your post and Welcome to Radio Reference. To my knowledge the shack doesn't sell them so your out of luck there. The easiest place to get them is online from scannermaster or other online retailers. There also isn't really much digital in des moines other than the dot, highway helpers and the occasional car-car isp chat. If i see a place that does sell them i'll let ya know

The Closest Circuit City I believe is Omaha, Twin Cities, Chicago, or Kansas City, there going back to having to order online. Still don't know why we don't have one.
