DMAFB Heritage Flight Training Conference 4-7 March 2010

The annual Air Combat Command Heritage Flight Training Conference will be held at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base 4-7 March.

Expect the following aircraft to be flying over the Tucson area airspace:
P-51 Mustang
P-40 Warhawk
A-1 Skyraider
A-10 Thunderbolt
F-15E Strike Eagle
F-16 Fighting Falcon
F-22 Raptor
QF-4 Phantom.

The flight training typically starts in the afternoon on Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Unfortunately, if you don't have a military ID card, you'll have to watch the activity from outside the fence. If you do have an ID card, then head out to Base Ops for some closer up views.

As I type this, the A-1 Skyraider (Callsign: Skyraider-965AD) has arrived at DM, as well as Viper-01 (Flight of 3 F-16's), Demo-1 (Flight of 3 F-15E's).

Last year they used the following frequencies at the conference:

118.50mhz - Heritage Flight Discrete
118.85mhz - Tower VHF
123.15mhz - Heritage Flight Discrete
134.10mhz - Heritage Flight Discrete
253.50mhz - Tower UHF
305.40mhz - 354FS Ops - A-10
327.70mhz - DM SOF
376.025mhz - F-15 and F-22 Airshow Control Discrete
384.55mhz - F-16 Airshow Control Discrete

Normally, I attend all three days, but it looks like I'll be lucky to attend on Friday. Going to need some help on recovery of the activity this year

wow, last year you had some great photos posted. I hope they keep the same freqs they worked great for me last year. I won't be on base but parked somewhere close on Saturday for sure
