Monitoring today from the strawberry fields, New Ludlow Rd, Granby, perimeter "Dog Patch" training area, Westover ARB, MA. Joint Civilian Training Exercise wich included HHS Disaster Medical Assistance Teams, appeared to be low power w/t's, portable base station, perhaps a few mobiles:

407.2625 P25/Digital Encrypted Simplex
409.075 P25/Digital Encrypted Simplex
409.3375 Analog NFM --- brief low power transmission
412.8375 P25/Digital Encrypted Simplex
412.8875 P/25/Digital Encrypted Simplex

Grove's "Federal Frequency Directory" 2nd edition, indicates that most of those encrypted frequencies are designated for nationwide common repeater/simplex operations, any agency.

Got to wonder if this is a trend for all the DMATS, that encryption will be the rule rather than the exception?
