anyone know what happened to the W7QO Hytera DMR repeater in Atlanta on 443.025?

Been gone for weeks now. I sent an email to the owner (W7QO) and no reply. Both of his NXDN repeaters are still operational, though there doesn't appear to be network activity on NXDN WW (TG 65000).

Be a shame if this repeater is gone. It was a flagship DMR that had portable coverage 40 miles outside of the city.

My XPR7550 has no "digital friends" to talk to. :(

Are there any UHF DMR repeaters in the metro-boston area? Found a couple online via google, but don't seem to be on the air.

There is a restriction due to pave paws military radar. That's why all DMR in eastern mass Maine and New Hampshire is on VHF

DMR is exploding. Indiana went from two repeaters to over twelve in one year. The advent of the CS700 ($180) has increased interest. CSI will introduce the CS7000 soon ($249) which will do analog, D-Star and DMR.

D-Star seems to have reached a plateau. Yaesu Fusion has interest but only because Yaesu is selling the repeaters for $500. DMR is growing and is far from reaching a plateau.

New DMR in Norfolk VA

Lars, W2CID announced this week he now has a DMR repeater QRV from his home near Naval Station Norfolk. Antenna is only 30 feet high.

Does anyone know if there's any progress toward a DMR repeater (or two, or more) in the St Louis area? Although I don't live there, I have a friend in the area, who would benefit from the technology.

Over the weekend I got Austin Texas TRBO active on the network (with the help of another local ham who is providing the internet gateway for the repeater)

442.650 +5 CC 1 ---- KE5ZW
Active talk groups:
Austin Local - TG 2 - TS 2
Texas State Wide - TG 3148 - TS 2
North America - TG 3 - TS 1

These are only temporary as the repeater is right now a peer to a DFW repeater. There are plans to change it to a master for the Austin area netowrk that is in the planning stages of being developed.

You need to check dates before saying I was incorrect. It was not on the air when I made that post over a year ago. Since then Stephen has bought another repeater and has put it up near Kingsport. I know all of this because I was part of it.

So maybe a better post would have been "Good news, the Johnson City repeater is back on the air (with a small desense issue.)
