I thought that the 536 never produce any sound when the DMR signal are encrypted.
My scanner mutes and continues to scan. I would like it to continue to monitor
the TG and ID and don't mute the audio. I beleive the display also should says ENC.

What is the setting to allow this monitor mode?

Would it still show ENC if it's on DMR?

Not necessarily. The scanner seems to look for an encryption flag in the data. Some radios do not TX the encryption flag even when broadcasting encrypted audio (TYT radios for example). So instead of the transmission being muted, you hear the garbled audio.

Just a thought on the 436 I have noticed with poor reception, poor antenna or moving around with one or both above it comes across as garbled or the typical DMR noise.

That is basic security (encryption) and no that does not show up as enc on a Uniden or Whistler as encrypted
I have a system where dispatch is clear and only one officer answers back encrypted the others are in the clear.

Maybe a better word to use other than encryption.... is scrambled. I have several of those here.
