I saw the DMR sticky post. I did some poking around digitalfrequencysearch.com and found a couple items I'd like to listen to. I have the DMR upgrade on my SDS100 and successfully monitor some ham frequencies that are in the RR database. My question is how to I enter them properly into Sentinel? Reading the DMR sticky is confusing as it is talking about data I do not have from the page I reference. It really only has the frequency.
I tried doing it as a DMR on frequency system and another as a Conventional system. I am not hearing anything from the locations.
Wondering if I am doing it properly or if maybe they are just not in use.
Any posts or tips on this would be appreciated

What are the systems you want to monitor? If they are conventional program them as either a conventional frequency or (optional) as a One Frequency Trunk. If they are trunked (like CAP+ or CON+ program them as MotoTRBO trunked.

If you hold on one of the frequencies you would see CAP+ or CON+ on the display if they are trunked, or you might notice the slot numbers switching back and forth.

The dmr site I linked to does not have any of that info. It has only the frequency.
this is the first time I am trying to add a new system/dept/channel into sentinel also. In the past I’ve only used existing RR entries. So it’s a bit of a learning curve.

The frequency search site only has frequencies, because that's all the FCC provides. You have to figure out the rest, then submit the data to RadioReference.

Yes I understand that. I haven’t done that with my 436 or 100 so I’m trying to figure out how to get the additional info needed.
I tried programming the frequencies in and using the search options (digital audio and color codes) for individual entries. But no luck. I just am not sure I programmed them correctly. It’s also possible the frequencies are not in use currently.

A license does not guarantee a frequency is actually being used.

So. After some research I figured out what I need to do I believe.
Simply create a search with the frequencies I am interested in and search them. the scanner can then simply produce addition information on any hits.
I think what I was doing as described above would work too (search on digital audio andor color code) would work too if the frequencies were active for dmr.
