WS1080: Dmr frequency help

Hello to all. I am hoping someone can help . I have used RR database for my local police dept. they stated it was on DMR. and noted it was NOT encrypted, see this link for Perry police Stark County, Ohio (OH) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference So using the ws1080 .I added knowing I have a DMR scanner, the frequencies . I aslo used the quick import, from Digital frequency, and imported. these..

I have imported conventional and added a wildcard. all I hear is garbled reception.. I have also tried different color codes. still nothing.. I do not know the TGID . so I am wondering would that help ? also if it was encrypted why would I not have the letter E shown on my scanner screen. Any ideas what I could try ?? or if I am not doing something right?? thank you for your time and feed back

If you've programmed them as conventional DMR and and left the CC, SL, and TG set to wildcard (*), that is all you need.

If you're hearing garbled voice, it's probably using some form of "privacy" - doesn't have to actually be formal encryption. Either way, privacy, encryption, etc - if they are using something like that, you won't be able to monitor.

If possible, capture a recording of what you are hearing and post it. Then we'll be able to confirm.

If your programming was wrong you wouldn't hear anything at all. The fact that you are hearing garbled voice almost guarantees it's encrypted.

Thanks that's what I'm thinking. .confusing because RR database does not show it encrypted. .I'm going to as the other gentleman mentioned try to upload a clip of what I'm receiving
