I purchased the DMR key upgrade from Uniden a couple years ago.
I programmed the key into a SDS200 and BCD536HP with no issues. I purchased a used 536HP recently and can’t program the key. Comes up as incorrect number. Is there a reason for this?

I am pretty sure I programmed two units with the same key a while back. I don’t remember purchasing the upgrade key twice, but could be wrong

DMR/NXDN/ProVoice keys are unique to a scanner's serial number and 3 digit hex. Once used on 1 scanner it is spent. Each scanner has it's own unique serial number and hex. It is impossible to re-use a upgrade key.

If you registered your scanners and purchased the previous upgrade keys yourself at my.uniden.com, go back to that website..... log in, click on "all my scanners", and you will see your key purchases, and the actual digital keys there (one for each scanner).
