Been trying to monitor several systems with no success. (FleetTalk) I see talkgroups displayed on the scanner screen and Scanpro history. Squelch never opens on radio. Log shows nfm, shouldn't it be digital? Have tried adjusting Dmr threshold, but doesn't seem to make a difference. Also trying MD Live & UMBC with no luck. Anyone able to monitor these systems?
Thanks

NFM = bandwidth. Frequencies on the system are 12.5khz step size so thus they're narrow-FM. How strong is the signal? Do you have the system programmed in as MotoTRBO trunked? If you do a channel hold on a known talkgroup do you have better luck receiving traffic? I found a threshold of 13 works best for DMR, YMMV

If your scanner shows DMR with talk groups showing at the same time, then it is known as DMR One frequency. I have the handheld version of your scanner. Is it possible that the talk groups are ENCrypted?

4 bars signal strength on FleetTalk. System setup as Mototrbo (ID Search) using Lcns as shown in database. I added a couple of found Tgs and if I hold on one of them I see "finding control channel". Does that mean there's not have enough signal? Honestly, the Dmr experience on the 996p2 has been dismal, same with the Oft channels. Will continue to experiment with the dmr threshold settings.

While my TSX-1 doesn't actually track a TG, it picks up both MDLive, UMBC and other nearby campuses (CCC and Charlestown RC) using DMR. There is so little traffic on any TG you can hear about everything without the need to track a TG. You also have to be close, as their systems typically have little range beyond the campus.
