Can anyone help with programming my SDS200 for DMR on 2m/440 repeaters and my HotSpot? I thought I did it correctly, but hear nothing.

What software are you using? I'll be happy to show you an example if you let us know. Thanks.

I programmed in a local DMR repeater. Here are screen shots from Sentinel.

Amusingly enough, after I created the favorites list it didn't work. Guess why.

I didn't have the "Ham" service type enabled. :)

Zipped DMR.hpe file attached. I had forgotten to turn "monitor" ON, so I can hear my HotSpot now. Have not heard anything from the 70cm repeaters though.

Not seeing anything off with your programming. Are you able to hear activity using another receiver? What are you using for an antenna on the SDS200? Some of the repeaters look to be 30 to 50 miles from your QTH

I'm using a discone on a 5' pole mounted on the roof of a 2 story house. My Anytone 578 DMR radio is on a 2m/440 vertical on the fireplace. It has marginal connectivity to the Denton repeater and poor connectivity to all the others in the sds200. I picked the DMR repeaters I did because they are mostly located near analog repeater I have no issues with. That said, my QTH is certainly suspect. I'm on the north side of a ridge. I can reliably hit "stuff" north, NE, and NW of me.

I did notice that I do not have any specific TGs in my sds200 programming like sallen07 shows in the screen grab he posted. Could that be an issue?
Thanks... Tom K5TPK

Well you do have ID Search turned on so it should pick up all talkgroups regardless if they're programmed into your FL or not

Honestly I don't know if "ID search" works correctly if there aren't any TGs. I would try adding one (use 9 Local) and see if that matters.

Very well may not, but won't hurt to try.

I have been experimenting Ham DMR. On My SDS200 . I have set them up in different ways I am in Southern NH

1 One Frequency Dmr Mode, with 23 dmr repeaters with color codes and 53 talk groups no id search

2 One Frequency Dmr Mode, with 23 dmr repeaters with color codes No Talkgroups With Id search

3 Conventional Mode the same 23 repeaters with color codes NO Talkgroups

4 Conventional Mode the same 23 repeaters with digital code search No Talkgroups

What I have found is that In One Frequency Dmr mode with All the talkgruops enabled search is slow.
Without talkgroups and search Id on It is much faster scanning.

And in both versions of Conventional mode NOT DMR mode Id search not available And both versions scanned very fast and had no problem getting Talkgroups displayed.

I only put DMR repeaters in all favorite lists
