DMR on K2MAK?

Hi Folks,

Has anyone been using DMR on this repeater? Wondering how coverage is in NYC area. I ask because I'm was considering the 2-watt SL 700 radio and hopefully it has coverage in most parts of Manhattan/Brooklyn.

The K2MAK repeater is linked to the NJ-TRBO Network. Here is a list of the repeaters that are linked together:

Between K2MAK's site on top of the Empire State Building, N2JTI in Orangeburg and N2DCE in Montclair, the greater NYC area is pretty much covered.

Thanks. I was wondering how well the 2-watt SL 7550 would work around Manhattan. I'm assuming it should be able to hit K2MAK from 5 boroughs as it's on top of the Empire State.

You could hit K2MAK with 1 watt and a wet noodle !
