Ok, Here it goes. After you program the frequency for a single frequency DMR system Can you use either the Color Slot or the time slot just listen to only one agency or user on that frequency ?

Color Code, not color slot. Color Codes are used to distinguish multiple repeaters that may be on the same frequency with overlapping coverage areas. You can specify a color code for each frequency in the system site(s).

Specify talkgroups to filter traffic, not timeslot. A talkgroup ID is going to consistently carry a particular user or usergroup, such as maintenance, security, dispatch, etc. A timeslot often does not. Many systems dynamically assign timeslots, and Talkgroup X may be on slot 1 one transmission and Slot 2 the next. Filtering by timeslot is a bad habit to get into.
