DMR Radio in Halifax

Friend picked up a DMR radio tier 1 and tier 2 , anything in Halifax area he can listen to on it ?

If he gets a hotspot, he can listen to almost anyplace in the world. They start under $80.00 American. Also check the RR Canadian database for local repeaters.

In addition to the bridge commission, there are a few DMR/TRBO systems in the area that can be found in the database. I don't know anything about programming these into pro radios though.

There's the 4D commercial system if your friend is interested in listening to couriers. The seldom used NS Power (DMR tier 3) and HFX Water systems as well. If they're near the airport there's always the airport system, although the fun stuff seems to be encrypted. Casino NS and the Halifax Shipyard both have TRBO systems as well that I haven't really spent much time trying to listen to.
