DMR scanning

I have a BCD396XT (2009) will it scan DMR? If yes, I have freescan and trying to input a tone for Fire Service: cc4 tg3700 sl1 . How do I do the programming? Thanks!

Nope, you cannot do DMR or NXDN or ProVoice on those radios. They were made before it was ever available for scanners. To get DMR you need either the new SDS100 or SDS200 scanners or the earlier models like the BCD436HP or BCD536HP. There are some others that you can now add it to like the BCD996P2. I can't remember the exact model number but I think the BCD325P2 (I know the 325 part is correct) Will also allow you to purchase the DMR capability. But there's definitely no way to do DMR monitoring on the 396XT or the 996XT.

See here for a full list of DMR-capable scanners. At the very least you'll need a 325p2 with Firmware 1.07.06 or better and the paid DMR upgrade from Uniden
