DMR Simplex Voice Echo

Hello all

My fist time setting up DMR Simplex Voice.

Both Radios - TYT MD-380 UHF
Talk Group - 99
Color 1
Slot 1
No other special settings, etc

Frequency: 446.400 mhz

Both Radios connect on first try but there are Echo repeats of the voice!

Same situation regardless of which radio connects first.
Not sure why the Echo !

Also, I did a conventional FM Simplex setup and the Audio is fine.

HELP!

Is it a repeat of the voice or just the delay of the voice from the transmitting radio to the receiving?

I figured it out!
Was actually because both handheld were in same room 15’ apart

Dogital audio feedback
The Mike on the handheld must be very sensitive and picked up the last word coming out of the receive handheld

I moved each to a separate room and it worked fine!

No screech or Howl like Fm or AM audio feedback
Digital audio feedback!

There is always an audio delay when using digital modulation. It's only super noticeable when you are within earshot of another radio receiving your signal. Totally normal.
