I wonder if this will be integrated into the network 12 at some time. network 12 seems to be run by MRC in Kitchener

What system in the database are you referring to?

If you’re picking up network 12 on your scanner via custom scan, and it’s DMR TIII, it’s actually network 13 unless Uniden has fixed the bug in which they wrongly calculate the network number.

Im quite sure this is a Hytera XPT system. I know MRC (and other companies teaming up) to make a new wide area system but all running hytera gear. DSD Should be able to tell you if its XPT or not

I don't think so. I've monitored the Brisbane control channel and it was definitely a Hytera TIII site.

TIII SysCode=10.1100.00001010

I put the TIII network bits to 7, and:
Milton Zone 1: SysCode=10.1100.00000000 (Zone 1, Site 1)
East G Zone 4: SysCode=10.1100.00000110 (Zone 4, Site 1)
Brisbane Zone 6: SysCode=10.1100.00001010 (Zone 6, Site 1)

I'm doing it right, yes?

I know for sure MRC does have/is building a wide area XPT system. Was told this by hytera when at a dealers meeting few months ago. Was expanding north of toronto a bit too as another dealer decided to jump in on the system and offer up some site locations for the gear.

How far its going to go.. who knows...

TIII SysCode=10.1100.00001010

DSD+ LSNs, frequency

501/502, 423.1125
509/510, 423.1625
517/518, 423.2125
Hello,

Your post shows me why this network was also reported as Network 12. The 1100 portion of the SysCode has a value of 12. If the range of Networks is 0 to 15 (Zero-origin) then the Network is 12. If the range of Networks is 1 to 16 (One-origin) then the Network is 13.

The site reporting is also affected. The 00001010 portion of the SysCode has a value of 10 and would be Site 11 if the range of sites is 1 through 256 (One-origin).

Eric: thanks for that information. It looks like both systems are one and the same then. Ill try and get a DSD dump of the Baden CC.

Yes, but I assume the correct term for TIII is area, not zone. Although zone is a nicer term.
