Hello all!

Wondering if anyone knows or can help me out in monitoring 457.0625 in the Sacramento area.

I was on an outdoor antenna today in South Sacramento and was getting DMR traffic on 457.0625 with a color code 1.

You'll likely have to be on an outdoor antenna as well, as my signal strength was just one bar on the scanner.

Talkgroup showed 16776411 with a radio ID of 5000. It showed as Capacity Plus on my BCD436HP, but DSDPlus should DMR conventional.

Since this frequency would usually be an input frequency, I switched over to 452.0625 but was unable to get any traffic.

The traffic was hard to hear for some reason. Despite it being digital, the audio of the user sounded like how it would on analog and the repeater was far away.

The traffic was a fire weather report repeated multiple times (as if they're hitting multiple repeater tones like how CAL FIRE or USFS does). I couldn't make out much but did hear them mention the High Sierra. This was around 5:00 PM.

Kind of odd that no one is licensed to operate on that frequency in the region. The nearest is Union Pacific in Alameda County... and at only 2 Watts.
