I am listening to 452.3875. It is a company, and it comes up as TGID 101, but also shows a slot and color. I am scanning as conventional. I can not find a DMR trunked system this belongs to. In fact, I have about 10 Freqs listed to this company, but none of them come back to a local trunk system - I am in New York, there is a DMR system in State that uses some of these freqs, but the closest site is listed as upstate, without a doubt too far for me to hear.

So is this a DMR thing, it shows a TGID on a conventional freq?

These are the ones I am looking at, none seem to come back to a LOCAL trunk system, although the list looks to me like a UHF trunked system.

The FCC ID of "IG" generally indicates Conventional not Trunked

DMR as does P25, uses TG's on conventional Frequencies.

BTW only 4 of the Freqs are (FB2) Repeaters, the others are simplex or inputs to the Repeater

Yes - IG says it's conventional (but I find that the fcc license data is not 100% accurate or guaranteed). Some DMR conventional channels do exhibit TGIDs and others do not. I think (but am not certain) the frequency/channel and slot can be dedicated to a use and/or the system owner can establish multiple (sub) talkgroups on the same frequency.

On the other hand, as mentioned, just because the license says conventional does mean the system/use of the frequencies is not trunked....

Since we are on this subject, I have noticed on more than few instances where Capacity Plus is used but the FCC license shows conventional only. Though for Connect Plus system they seems to do a better job at changing their license type to trunked

There is a fairly large, regional, multi-site commercial system ([re]sells service) in my area that is DMR but the license only indicates analog.... the only way you'd find it would be to search... I've on occasion loaded all of the licensed business frequencies in my area to look and see if they've switched to digital....

Sadly, most can be passed back to Pi$$-Poor Radio Shops failing to make the updates to the ULS. Just like so many others still operating on expired licenses.
