Figured I might as well setup a special scanning scheme for the chaos that will ensue. What other agencies would be appropriate to have in a scan setup for the DNC?
Right now all I can think of would be DPD Dist 6 (all channels), Auraria PD, CSP 9B (capitol), Maybe the federal trunk system?
What else? I'll have federal band scans setup as well, but don't really expect too much in the clear on any of those frequencies.

You may want to give a listen to District 1. Seemed to be a lot of District 1 activity last night including Dispatch 1A & 1B that appeared to be related to the areas of interest.

For those interested in monitoring the Aviation activities - here are some frequencies that may be used for the temporary flight restriction around the DNC, which is code named PEPSI CAP.

121.500 - civilian guard
138.850 - air to air
138.950 - air to air
139.300 - air to air
142.600 - air to air
243.000 - military guard
271.000 - Combat Air Patrol (AWACS controller call sign BIGFOOT or DRAGNET directing fighter pilot to target)
282.600 - air to air

All the Denver center frequencies for the Denver area are listed here: http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?aid=2238.

I should add to your list the comms picked up yesterday on 126.2 which appeared to be the UH-60's doing some comm checks and testing video feeds.
Just picking up some comms on 349.2 and 282.2 as well.

Analysis for Saturday 8/23

Looking at stats and monitoring with Unitrunker on Den PS.

At this time:

Dispatch 1 is at the top of the list for this event.

It appears that all TAC stuff will occur on the Dispatch TG of each respective district.

All regular district dispatching is on their respective Car to Car TG's

All districts are using their Dispatch A, B and C Talk groups. (no rocket science required for why)

All DFD Event TG's and EMS TG's have been active.

There are at least 2 PV "patch o matic" TG's between Den and Lakewood.

Net feed?

Is anyone going to stream the traffic on the Net so those of us in the East can hear the excitement?

If so, any idea what the Web address will be yet?

Dig out the lawn chair and the tub of popcorn. Sounds like the brick throwing competition has already begun.

Lot's of interesting mixed clear w/enc on the Fed 400 system.

For those ESK impaired the Westy EDACS system has GREEN-1 TG 862 (06-116) patched so you have an alternate way to hear all ambulance calls in Denver.

Denver PW EDACS system has EOC coordination with all PW on TG 307 (02-063) usually known as the snowplow TG.

They lost the entrance to Pepsi Center for about 15 minutes earlier this afternoon to Protestors now they have pretty much taken over Broadway and Lincoln both from police and lots of swat officers moving into the are.

And it's only Sunday.

Denver feed remain's up with over 120 listeners currently for those without esk scanners as well.

Heard reports of a crowd of 150 moving down Tremont with gas masks and armed with zip ties(?) and batteries.
