As of early this evening, SR units have stopped calling South Region "South Region". They are now simply calling it "Dispatch"

Also, SR made their nightly 10-7 announcement and ID'd as "ICO Dispatch". It seems like the SR/NR thing is now officially over.

If anyone can confirm that NR DISP is no longer in use we would appreciate it and will update the DB accordingly.

Thanks

Yes, it's in use and I think it's now the full time NR talkgroup. We'll know for sure next week.

I can loosely confirm what's been mentioned so far:
20572, Labeled DNR LE SR; is now being referred to as Dispatch, with the occasional "South Re- err check Dispatch";) Only hearing units from the southern districts (5-9)

7367 Labeled DNR ICO DISP; seemed to be a completely separate conversation, I would assume North however, I'm not in the North District so I can only hear spillover, when it comes through a tower from a unit being far enough south to carry the conversation over; so the few times it did stop on that I wasn't luck enough to catch what they were calling dispatch or the unit number of the cars in the field, just the ending readbacks of 10-27s and 29 checks.

I've shut everything else out of the scanner so I can try and catch a little more North Traffic and South traffic this evening and hopefully get the unit and dispatch ID to remove assume from the above comments.

I noticed quite a bit of "ICO Dispatch" last night down where I live. I was too busy with other stuff to see what the actual TG was, though.

Just thinking:
You remember a while back, DNR moved all FCC licenses for ICO VHF freqs to Columbia City.

edit:
Also, check new "dsp RIDs", are they dif from NR/SR rids.

I'm quite certain NR dispatch is no longer. All NR units are now being dispatched full time through SR on the ICO DISP talkgroup. SR is still on SR.

We knew the move was coming, we just didn't know when. Looks like last Friday was the last day for NR Dispatch.

Also of interest, a PIO from Indiana DNR recently spoke with ISP on the ISP Road Show and noted that they'll be moving to 24/7 dispatch sometime this summer.

Sounds like the radio equipment and maybe some dispatchers made the move to SR. Seeing NR DISP RID's and hearing some new dispatchers on SR DISP.

They should put a couple of PSR-800's in dispatch so they can instantly playback traffic. Tons of "What was your traffic" "10-9 I was on the other channel".

Question:Why does DNR SR DISP Talkgroup 20752 sound like the dispatchers are yelling in the mike? Sounds like they have the audio turned up all the way on the base mike.I have also noticed the same thing on DNR NR DISP 7376. Has anyone elese heard this?

I have noticed this as well both on my scanner and radio. They need a little mic gain tweaking sounds like to me.
