Do I need to update???

I use my scanner ever day (BCD396T) and monitor a bunch of different systems. I am currently on Firmware Version 1.13.17 ... should I update?

Update

I would recomend that you update your scanner to the latest firmware available.I did and it has greatly enhanced the reception.I can clearly pick up systems with the rubber duck antenna that had marginal reception before this update.

Go to uniden.com and click on "downloads". then select your scanner and the firmware you want. You'll have to create an account with myuniden or UnidenDirect (whatever it's called now) if you haven't done it before. Then you'll download the firmware installer and enter some information into Uniden's system. After all that fun you can download and install the newest firmware. oh and it's all free
