Do UHF trunking tables apply for XTS-5000 CPS?

Just purchased a UHF XTS-5000 and am impatiently waiting it's arrival. I have the CPS, but no sample codeplug to play with until the radio gets here. I've programmed XTS-3000 radios for 800 MHz systems with no issues, and entering the control channels was all that was required. This will be my first foray into the UHF band. My question is: Do the custom frequency tables listed in the RR database apply in XTS-5000 UHF codeplugs, or do I simply enter the control channels and the radio will take care of the rest? You will need to enter in the trunking ranges for the radio to work properly.

The ranges listed on RadioReference are typically for scanners and will not work as Motorola trunking tables.

You'll probably need to use a program such as TRUNK88 and a spreadsheet to figure out the proper ranges.

Thanks for the reply, Mike. I downloaded Trunk88 and also Trunker and Unitrunker, just to try them out. In Unitrunker I see "LCN"s that kind of look like trunking channel numbers, and they seem to correlate with the frequencies used. I filled in the frequencies based on the frequencies the system uses, and it appears to match up. Can you elaborate a little or point me to a resource that will explain a little more in depth as to what this raw data means and how to turn it into the usable data I need. Thanks!
