As previously mentioned, this loop is passive in nature. This means that this little loop is suitable for a radio or SDR with high sensitivity - a SDRPlay or Airspy would likely work well. For older radios - say, a Kenwood R2000 or the Yaesu FRG7 (called by many the 'Frog') - it might not deliver enough signal to be useable. We have several links for amplifiers in our Loops wiki. At least in theory, the W6LVP kit might work very well with this antenna. There are others in that article, too...
