All i heard was the c130's from yougstown airport and thats it once why cant i hear anymore milair ? :?:
CORN, I think you took my post wrong and perhaps you should re-read it. I said, I find air communications boring, not that Don (Cobra_Commander) finds them boring. And to be exact, I only made two statements in reference to receving MilAir comms, one that the Pro-96 can do it and that I thought it was boring.CORN said:Well, obviously the man is having trouble picking up the stuff and he is definitely interested in it. So half of the statements of it being boring is irrelevant. Obviously your a big fan of the radio which is great, so am I. But for trunking and conventional scanning only. I think no one on this forum has said it's designed to be deaf in the area but if you have to be right in the general area because it's so sensitive then that reiterates the statements that it wasn't designed nor intended to recieve those frequencies well. Therefore is not suitable for milair. There are a lot of people out there who like those comms and it is anything but boring to them or me. Enough said.
What I was pointing out is that the Pro-96 was not designed to be deaf in the MilAir frequency range, but the Pro-93/95 was designed to be deaf in that area and comparing the two is neither fair nor correct.fireant said:The pro 96 is not really set up for mil air the win 96 unlocks the freqs but the scanner is pretty much deaf in that area much like the pro 95 I have.
