does anyone moniter Naperville TRS?

question: while listening to naperville, after someone has finished transmitting there is a long pause while the channel is still open (not an open mic key though) and sometimes a weird beep... i normally keep the squelch open all the way while monitering trunking systems and this pause makes my pro-94 give me squelch feedback... pretty annoying. has anybody noticed this?

I can hear Naperville here in Joliet perfect, yesterday there system went in to Fail-Soft where all you hear is a pulsing beep. There signals (data) were dropping from 4 signal bars on my 898XLT graph to one .It happened today again but they do sound better....

Its when the trunking system fails and the users go on simplex instead of repeater, i heard them again today go down. Here in Joliet it happened once after a bad storm about a year ago and they used Cell phones to send out the calls. 800mgz does not carry the signal very far in simplex mode.....
