Does Tait have an option like Kenwood Vault?

Howdy everyone

Been doing more research and was wondering if anyone had experience with Tait's lineup and if certain Tait software features are transferable between radios like the Kenwood Vault system for Viking radios. I know that the Tait radios come with a lot of features as standard which is cool, but I was also wondering about the P25 software upgrades for phase 2 trunking as an example. If we buy TP9900 radios now, will those features be transferable into the next generation of Tait radios?

Not sure about that but for future reference in a few years Kenwood will no longer be supporting P25 in their radios (NX series) so you'll be dealing with the EF Johnson series only. Kenwood will only be DMR/NXDN at that point. Hope this helps in your decision making.

It does not appear to be. Tait has features either active or disabled in radio.

Bit late, but no. SFE's are tied to the serial number of the radio.
