Not sure if you have the correct term as the rebanding was done years ago. If you are looking for the system upgrades coming in the next year or 2, you will need a P25 Phase 2 scanner that works with Simulcast.

These frequencies are used on an as-needed basis. Most talkaround activities are on lowband, however when out of the cruiser operations can be conducted on these channels. The MSP 800MHz repeaters are mostly located in Western Mass. I-TAC channels are also used in conjunction for inter-agency operations.

They are both in service. Technically, there is only one system but from a scanner point of view, two.

I only mentioned the common confusion between rebanding and other system changes because of the impending contract that will eliminate the Motorola Type 2 and replace it with P25Phase 2 statewide. The area the OP is in will be one of the first areas done and could happen in the next year or so. Hate to see someone buy a radio that MAY not be what they want in a relatively short time.
