There is already a thread for this in this forum. Take a look! We're still trying to figure that out. No one on the Island seems to want to talk, and it appears that the folks I've been in touch with likely have that info. I would think at this point that it has to do with safety of operations, ethics, etc. Go take a look at the thread though.

From what I've seen of the show, It looks like a UHF Kenwood. I would say a UHF business freq either in the 451-454 or 461-464MHz range.

They used to have UHF Motorola CP200's but no clue what thy have now.

I have seen them with Kenwoods and now I see they have MotoTRBO! And it sounds like they are on an LTR system. You can hear the repeater tone. They must have simplex on them to because when they were using them in Colorado there was no repeater beep, in Hawaii they are on a repeater system.

They have had CP200s, x170s, and black box radios. I am trying to figure out how they could be on an LTR system when they work a lot on Big Island but are based in the city.

It would be the most logical thought that they are on an itinerint frequency. Since they take their radios with them everywhere they go Nationwide.

I really do not like dog the bounty hunter show but I've seen a few shows my question is there alot of times they drop the f bomb and other curses over the radio how do they get away with this? I know the FCC lazy but come on it's on video tape already
