Hey guys, I am possibly going to Dollywood today. I know that their security has switched over to their LTR system, but does anyone know if their on site EMS "Safety" frequency listed here as 464.05000? Or have they also gone to the LTR? Or do they have a new freq. possibly? Any one with any info on their frequency if you could let me know that would be great. I have Dollywood programmed into all my portables, and my mobiles, and since it has been a while since going there, I was wondering if they are still on the same system? P.S. Just FYI, in case anyone was wondering, I know several people who work for Dollywood's EMS, and it is ok for me to bring in my portable to the park. Thanks!

Well if you have friends at Dollywood, have them key their radios up on different channels, get the ID's and ask them what that goes too. You could make the Dollywood data complete with friends like that. :)

Good point, I never thought of that. But since I don't have any scanners, I only have actual land mobile radios, how can I see the ID's? Sorry if that is a dumb question, but if answered I could probably fill in all the rest of Dollywood's data for you guys.

Last time I was driving on I-40, I did pick up some traffic on 464.050, but that was almost a year ago. Is everything moving to their LTR system and nothing will be on the conventional frequencies?

You can't :( , oh well that would have been a good trip if you had a scanner.
One thing you could do is ask the if they know what ID's go to where in the park, they might know that if one of them has a scanner. :)

I'm going to Gatlinburg the weekend of May 1. I have programmed all of the Knox Co., Sevier Co., and any other items, LTR, MOT, etc in my Pro-106 for checking that weekend. I may have some info when I return Sunday the 3rd.

Bring that Pro97 and verify the LCN of the repeaters!!! That would be great. 3 of them I am pretty sure of but the 4th one I have no Idea what the LCN is on it since I never hear the system so busy that it needed to use it. They all "burp" about every 10 seconds or so, maybe you could retrieve the LCN off of it when it does.

I don't know if it does the same thing or not with LTR systems, I never had one of those. I know the 97 will show you the LCN on the screen in the lower right corner.

Yes. I have the 163, and according to the manual you can enter in the frequencies in any order, set the bank to OPEN mode and manually select the channels. It will display the LCN info for each channel. Page 36 of the manual.

Was just looking at the Sevier Co. update. What is "Nexedge" under "Mode"?

NEXEDGE is Kenwood digital system. The NEXEDGE™ radio system uses the NXDN™ protocol, whereas P25 radio systems use the TIA102 standard. Since these systems use different protocols they cannot communicate with each other. Kenwood has its own range of P25-compatible radio equipment

So much for interop.

Well, while in Gatlinburg I stored a lot of conventional items, and according to the RR database located a few trunked items as well. Been busy playing "catch up" at work so I haven't got to check everything yet. I "pre-programmed" my Pro-106 with 14 systems (some were unconfirmed entries just in case). This also included Knox Co. items (in case I got a chance to stop in a parking lot somewhere for a short time and listen). Hopefully I will get a chance to look at the info this weekend. I didn't get to take the Pro-97 to confirm LC's. Sorry!
