A few months back I noticed a fiberglass whip on the Dominion tower at their yard on Hydraulic Road. Never really figured it out then but now I have noticed a number of UHF yagis on distribution lines around town where it appears there is a re-closer or switching point. I would assume they can also monitor power conditions at those points. So, I guess it is safe to assume the new whip on the tower is connected to these UHF yagis.
