Hello,

Are there any of those "cheap", under $75 perhaps, Dongles that besides their coverage
of vhf/uhf also get into the normal HF bands ?

Any in the works ?

Regards,
Bob

Inside that price range, not that I'm aware of. I know there are a bunch of devices in development nowadays (one from the creator of SDR# itself - meaning the application, HackRF, etc) but the pricing for those is obviously going to be considerably more - HackRF could be upwards of $250+ when it's out but it's also capable of transmitting too.

I think for people interested in using one of these "cheap USB TV tuners" as an HF receiver end up getting one plus something like the HamItUp transverter for about $40-45 and then use that in a "one-two" combo with a dongle and get what they're looking for while still maintaining the possibility for the stuff above HF.

With the HamItUp and a traditional $20 stick - I paid $9.75 for mine from NooElec off their Amazon page so basically half-price - you're still under $75 and have it all covered.
