Don't know what I am recieving

EDIT: It must be coming from Harlan County because I googled Boy's and Girl's club and only found the one in Harlan as nearby.



Hey everyone! I am receiving traffic on my BCD996P2 on the frequency of 453.16250. It's showing a RAN of 3. They are mentioning a female subject on foot near the boys and girls club, but I didn't get anything else location wise.

It's coming in pretty decent signal wise, but I have no idea where it's coming from. I live in Bell County near the Clay County line, and after doing a search for the frequency in Kentucky, the only nearby channel I find on radio reference is WQVD941

London Fire Dept.-unit to unit (Enc)

Any help with identifying the source of this signal is appreciated.

Kentucky State Police does not NXDN for operations and Post 3 is quite the distance from his location.

I am in Bell County, Kentucky. And this is an NXDN channel.

Probably 453.16875, which is a voice channel of Harlan County's NXDN trunked system - site 3 to be exact.

Could it still be this even if I have the channel programmed as conventional?

Yes trunked transmissions come in on my 996p2 with single frequencies stored in quick save as conventional.

It will go right passed them in scan mode until voice is detected or stay locked on it all the time depending what type of system it is.
