There are so many options out there it's tough to know where to begin. There are simple setups useing Teamspeak and a scanner to useing l;ike proscan and easystream to stream talkgroup tags with the audio....
before you start think these things through:
1) what scanner am I going to use?
1a) does it provde alpha tags
1b) can a computer pull off that information and can the scanner be computer controlled? (control not nessesary, but it makes it easier)
1c) do I need to worry about trunking
1D) does it have a stereo or mono output
2) what computer am I gonna dedicate to this (you can't just use the family computer to do this, it pretty much takes a dedicated machine to do it right!)
3) how much money am I willing to spend on software to make this work?
4) how much money am I willing to spend on Hardware to make this work?
These are all things I thought about before I started putting Scanners online.
