Is there any way with the aid of a scanner to have a real time weather radar on the pc ?? I saw a program a while ago that lets you decode weather sats but as far as real time it was not that good only worked as the went overhead. Or is there any software around that could connect to a doopler radar to a home pc???

Dave, I watch this http://www.weather.gov/ . Find your local aria. It is real time but not live. Also check your local TV stations that have radar and a web site for a link. There are other weather web sites, like this http://www.intellicast.com/ . And "The Weather Channel" . Do a web search for "weather".

There's nothing to "connect to". If the radar is connected to the studio by a radio link it's a) probably line of sight microwave and b) not a TV picture, but raw radar data that would mean nothing to a scanner.
